In 2017 JB Riney, one of London’s most respected civil engineering and highways maintenance contractors, became part of the Tarmac Contracting business.
JB Riney is a well-known, reputable company, and is a valuable addition to our business, boosting our competitiveness in the key London market. Its expertise strengthens our overall civils and highways customer offer, and builds upon our strategic network of sites, logistics and operations.
The family business has operated for nearly 40 years, and has around 250 employees. JB Riney has grown to become a leading contractor, with a strong reputation, working with a range of major clients, including London Boroughs of Greenwich, Tower Hamlets, Lewisham, Waltham Forest and The City of London.
The acquisition supports our longterm business objectives and will help us enhance the customer experience and gets us closer to key local markets in the south. It further demonstrates CRH’s continued support for our strategy of focused growth, through targeted acquisitions, to deliver on our commercial objectives and build our business for the future.
